Stainless Steel - steel alloyed with chromium and other metals, virtually immune to rust and corrosion.
Stainless steel is particularly impressive to me when used in outdoor pieces. The material is almost immune to rust and corrosion. I like to bend stainless steel to create a rippling light refraction as light crosses its surface. Unique styles and grits of grinding offer a striking finish or in some cases the stainless steel is polished to a mirror like finish.
